Mahjong Rules

  • Tableau piles are numbered from 1 to 7. Tableau piles have numbers 1 through 7; pile 1 contains one card, while pile 2 holds two cards, and so on. The top card of the Tableau pile gets turned upside up while the ones below are turned upside down. The remaining cards after putting the Tableau are then placed in the Stock facing down. They are then sorted into the Waste along with the Foundations begin empty.
  • There are four types of piles that can be found in Solitaire. They are:
    • The Stock Facedown card pile that are in the lower left-hand corner.
    • The Wast: The faceup pile adjacent on that of the Stock on the lower left.
    • The Basis: Four piles on the right upper corner.
    • Tableau: Tableau: The seven piles that comprise the table's main component.
